In honor of March 18th. the day AFTER green beer we offer our best advice on home remedies for the dreaded hang over.
Here are a few that I have had success with. Be sure to add your favorite remedy
- Eat a banana to restore potassium
- Eat toast with honey. The high fructose will help break down the alcohol remaining in your body
- This part is hard to do with a queasy stomach but eat at least one scrambled egg. The egg enzyme cystein will counter the toxic by-products of the alcohol metabolized by the liver
- Dissolve a bouillon cube into some hot water and sip. (this works especially well if steps 1-3 are impossible due to porcelain God worshipping)
- This step works wonders for all nausea ailments from morning sickness to hang overs to sea sickness. Cut about 10-15 slices of fresh ginger and brew in water (@ 4 cups) usually 10-12 minutes will produce tea. Drain and add honey to taste. Add lemon or orange juice for a yummy and easy to digest remedy
- Stay in bed.. use a sick day. Sleep is the #1 cure
