MSI recently announced the launch of their newest gaming notebook. It features NvidiaNvidia GEForce GTS 160M graphic card, with 1GB of video Ram, 15.4" widescreen display, Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 320GB hard drive, amongst lots of other good stuff. It's pretty sleek looking also.

I'm not a gamer but I know those graphic cards can be pretty pricey. I've read some reviews on other MSI gaming notebooks and, it seems like MSI is definitely making head-way in the gaming segment. The notebook is set to be released in about a month and no pricing has been announced yet.

So, all you gamers (I know we have a few Smile ), is this something you'd be interested in if the price were right?

Re: Game (notebook) time

I saw that and yeah great vid card but I think for the price I would go with this one - this just came out not that long ago (as in I think the last month or so)

HP HDX 18t Notebook

Here is the specs on this laptop:
Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad processor
up to 8GB of RAM,
NvidiaNvidia GeForce 9600M GT 512MB video card
Dual 320GB hard drives.

18.4-inch Full HD 1920X1080p
Blu-ray ROM with DVD SuperMulti DL burner,
WiFi 802.11n,
optional Hybrid TV tuner,
Altec Lansing speakers and subwoofer,
fingerprint scanner,
webcam,
5-in-1 digital media card reader.

when you look at the other one you will see that one has more ram in the vid card but this one has more ram. The other one has only 1 320GB HD where the other one has the option of getting 2 320's, 15.4" screen vs the HP 18.4" (that is 3 whole inches).

Toshiba also came out with a gaming laptop but OMG those prices are crazy. There high end one is $3699. - holy crap no way in heckkkkkkkkkkkk would I pay that for a laptop. In the end I think if your a really serious gamer laptops are not the way to go. Sad part is that 2 years from now it will probably be half the price and better - gotta love how fast technology is going.

FYI- I have 4 custom builds (3 are gaming rigs) and they all have NVIDIA GeForce cards - even yours truly :-)
