This scumbag was caught on video in a project housing development in upper Manhattan, NYC abusing his girlfriends dog.

"Over the next two days, in an attempt to identify the dogs assailant, the officers circulated pictures of the suspect taken from the video and continued to monitor the developments cameras closely in the event the attacker returned. Two days later, and on Jan. 4, the same team was able to direct uniformed officers to 3170 Broadway, where he was visiting his girlfriend, the dog's owner, to effect his arrest for torturing and injuring an animal, and resisting arrest."

The dog named Chuvi-Duvi, a 12-pound Pomeranian - Chihuahua mix, survived his injuries. Grant's girlfriend at first didn't believe the allegations when police approached her. However, after she reviewed the surveillance tape with authorities she realize her boyfriend did in fact commit the heinous crime.

Grant was arrested Monday and charged with animal cruelty. He is free on $1,000 bail, police said.

I hope they toss the book at him but sad to say to many ppl get off because its only a animal. The sad part is it goes from animal to human then folks are left saying they should have stopped it. Sad!!!! I'm glad to hear the dog is ok.

Exactly, this happened back in January, and they're saying now he may not do any time at all, it was rumored that he'd get 3 months, what a dirt bag. The good thing is though that this is all over the web and so is his name, he won't live it down very easily.

Yeah well look at Micheal Vick, he didn't do enough time for what he did and he is now back playing football like nothing happened. Its disgusting, laws need to change.

True, but he's a celebrity, they always get off easily. I wouldn't be surprised if this guy gets nabbed and beat up in his own neighborhood.

I saw this video the other day on Dr Phil. His program that day was about dog fighting and he had a guest on his show that was for dog fighting, how sick is that. I couldn't watch parts of the program, the video's and discussion made me sick. On the same program Dr Phil introduced a group of tattooed, motorcycle-riding street guys, who have a zero tolerance for animal abuse and neglect.

This group of guys go around and save animals from horrific situations and now they are on tv. The show is called Rescue Ink. I haven't seen it but kudo's to them for doing this. Some of the stories they told on Dr. Phil just makes me sick, and that video of the dog in the elevator was really hard to watch, thankfully the dog is ok no broken bones.

This is the kind of thing I can't even watch. I won't even watch that vid because it'd literally ruin my entire week. I'm way too much of an animal lover to even watch Animal Planet, because for some reaosn, 955 of the shows they decide to broadcast are based on abused animals. I understand they want to get the public's attention, and it's a good thing, but personally, it's not fun tv for me.

Without even watching it, I say the guy needs the death penalty, and I'm not even joking. Most human killers are proven to have started off on animals first. There's nowhere to go but down for that a$$hole.

I would beat the piss out of this guy if I had the chance Angry

I wish the penalties for this sort of thing were much higher. I always said that people whoa re charged with violent crimes should reap the penalty of having the same thing done to them. Watch how quick the numbers drop if that ever happened.

An eye for an eye. I've always said the same thing too: the EXACT same crime they committed should be done back to them. No matter what it is. A good example is a guy who killed 2 little girls 10 minutes from here, a few years ago. Stabbed them over 30 times and once in each eye with a small kitchen knife. I wonder if he'd of still done that if he'd known ahead of time that when he got caught, he'd get the death penalty in exactly the same way he did it to them. I don't think I'd be looking forward to getting stabbed in each eye.
