Lawmakers are considering an animal abuse registry, just like there is a sex offender registry. It plans to list all animal abusers in an online registry complete with address and place of employment. Some people think this is going too far, I don't. Animal abuse is atrocious and they are just as innocent and vulnerable as children are. Apparently lack of funding is preventing this from happening so far, it is estimated that the cost to fund the project would be $300,000 - $400,000.
So what do you think? Do you think this is a good idea or are we going too far with this? Is that amount of money too much to spend on something like this?
I'm all for it. People that are abusive to animals have usually also been shown to be abusive to, and even murder people as well. Even if they don't, I'm sure people would like to know who the animal abusers are in their neighborhood.
This is an excellent idea. People just need to treat animals more humanely cause they have a long life to live. It's not right to make pets suffer. I truly respect this idea and hope the government can see pets smile all over USA

I think its a fabulous idea. In fact I will look into it to make a donation that is how great of a idea I think this is.
From time to time I foster animals and when I do that I do try and find them homes, it would be soooooooo nice to be able to so a semi back ground check on who the future adoptive animal parents are. I totally love this idea!!!!!
