Just a head's up ... Facebook is now detecting this and blocking friend requests. I got it after trying to get the friend request box to pop up rather than the "do you know this person" box. After about 4-5 open/closes it happened.

It may have also been triggered because I've had alot of unanswered friend requests to celebs and stuff hanging out in my list for a long time (apparently not everyone uses facebook daily, Laughing ). Maybe if you have a certain number of unanswered requests, facebook starts to get "irritated" with you.
