Facebook launched Facebook Places yesterday (8/26)

Facebook launched Facebook Places yesterday. Anyone can find out where you are when you are logged in. It gives the actual address & map location of where you are as you use Facebook. Make sure your kids know.

TO UNDO:

  • Go to"Account"
  • "Account Settings"
  • "Notifications"
  • Scroll down to "Places" & uncheck the 2 boxes

How To Disable Facebook Places

You have to love when Facebook comes out with a new goodie. Well Facebook Places is facebook's version of Fourspaces. You might want to check your setting and adjust them to how you feel you want (if you want to play or not):

Go To Account > Privacy Settings > Custom Settings

New Facebook Feature - Face Recognition Tagging

Well here is yet another new Facebook feature coming down the pipes. Right now only select ppl are seeing this. Facebook now has "face recognition" so when you add a new picture to your album it wants you to tag the person.

Private posting on someone's Facebook wall

can anyone tell me if there is a way to post to someone's wall so that they are the only one to see it? say for example STaRDoGG, i wanted to post something on your wall or maybe comment on one of your photos, is there something i can do to my settings where you are the only one to see that comment or wall post? i don't just mean my name not showing, i mean where nobody can even see the post or comment? know what i mean?

So your laughing at the title but hey dont laugh to hard because they could whore you out for their advertising, without asking you and you don't make a dime. Have you read over their TOS (Terms of Service)? Well its changed some. Here is a part you might not have noticed:
